In 2018 Iluminar Productions launched the full scale music production at large theatres and venues in the Western Cape. In 2019 this production had successful runs at the Woordfees and traveled to Gauteng. In 2020 lovers of the Blues can look forward to experiencing a stripped-down version of this show. Luna Paige, Simon Orange and Michael Andre Bester will transport you back to those smoky barrel blues houses where the ladies in Blues gave raunchy performances and pushed boundaries to the max. Her Blues fans can look forward to some new additions to the Blues repertoire and being equally, if not more entertained by this project’s third year of existence. These are stories worth telling and music worth performing. Paige is a soulful singer and interprets the songs immaculately. Simon Orange is no stranger to the world of blues and specializes in the versatile styles of honky tonk, jazz and organ blues playing. Michael Bester is an exemplary jazz guitarist and proves to be equally talented as blues player. Make sure you see this show in the ambient Boer.
